It’s amazing to be dancing again after a long break. I started training as a dancer when I was just 3, but I had to step away for the past five years due to various personal and life changes. After moving to Canada, I honestly thought I’d never have the chance to get back into it with the hectic schedules here. Most of my friends in Canada speak different languages, so it’s refreshing to meet people from my own cultural background who share my passion for dance. One day, I stumbled upon a dance page on Instagram and decided to reach out about Kuchipudi. That’s how I met Gargi, who immediately felt more like a friend than just a dance instructor. I was so inspired after speaking with her that I joined her class the very next day. I initially joined batch class, but Gargi always provide 1-on-1 coaching at her home, which has been fantastic. Last month, I even participated in a cultural program organized by our academy. There are lot of performances coming up, and I can’t wait. The classes are vibrant and inclusive, with people of all ages. I recently enrolled my daughter too, and she’s enjoying it just as much. It’s been wonderful to share this journey with her and reconnect with something I 🤍
